Description[]

Appearance[]

Arlin James is a tall male rotund goliath. He has a gold tooth and short white hair that is tied in a ponytail. He wears brown boots with gold buckles on and loose pants hold up by suspenders, the pants have vertical gray and dark gray stripes on leading up to a tight belt with a gold buckle. He has multiple stretch marks and light blue wave tattoos that go all up his grey skin.

Personality[]

Arlin is a caring person, taking in Chip and raising him on the Midnight Rose. He enjoys pranks and was careful to teach Chip about proper pranking etiquette, pointing out how pranks shouldn't hurt people.

Background/History[]

Arlin was a member of the Black Rose Pirates who mysteriously disappeared. He also adopted (consensually kidnapped) the orphan kid, Chip.

According to the Wish Doctor, Niklaus Hendrix, Arlin and him had been friends before Chip was adopted onto the Midnight Rose. While it's still up for debate how truthful Niklaus is, Arlin is seemingly important enough for Niklaus to ask that Chip keeps him alive, no matter how catastrophic the consequences may be.

As of Episode 56: Mystery and Misery, it can be assumed Arlin is still trapped within the tunnels under the sea seen in the Black Rose Pirates oneshot. He is caught in a place where he is supposedly suffering, though how to find and help him is cryptic. Where he is at the present time is supposedly so far and hidden, the state he is in so severe, that not even Niklaus Hendrix can pinpoint his location exactly.

In Episode 70: Chip's Worst Nightmare, Arlin was shown with black corruption over his arms. Whether or not this was actually Arlin or just a piece of the nightmare curse removal remains unclear.
