Captain Widow is the captain of the Arachnid Pirates. As an NPC, she is played by GrizzlyPlays.

Appearance[]
Captain Widow is described as a tall, slender but not weak woman with faded, pale bare skin. She wears a black and red dress that is decorated with webbing spider patterns, sheer at the shoulders, and has silver armor pieces with draping silk armlets. Only the lower half of her face is visible, revealing sharp, well-defined cheekbones and two scars that follow the lines to the corners of her black lips. The upper half of her face is covered by a dark headdress that curls up and outwards, connected by webs, with two horns on the side that hook around her jaw like spider fangs. The headdress also reveals five pure white eyes.
Upon movement, Captain Widow can sprout these very tall, spindly spider legs that walk her instead of her legs. When she performs magic and casts spells, her fifth eye can shift to a dizzying red hue. A sixth green eye can also split open from the center of her chest. Her skin can become translucent, glowing with the red, pulsating light of hearts she has consumed during a soul-binding spell.

Personality[]
Captain Widow is the pirate captain of the Arachnid Pirates: a band of immortalized pirates who had taken over the plagued Onawa Country. She is an apathetic, cold yet soft-spoken captain whose ambitious desires first lead her to the country following the Black Sea plague. Although she is sympathetic towards the Riptide Pirates as young rookies, offering various negotiations and deals throughout their meeting in Episode 107: Widow's Peak, she has little care for life when it gets in the way of her goals, perhaps partly due to both her immortality and her obsession over her greatest desire. Captain Widow is incredibly charismatic, intelligent and has a very accurate foresight: for example, she is able to predict that Gillion Tidestrider is not in fact dead, and has instead ventured to the capitol's dungeon.
She shows little care toward anything other than her goal. This goal in question had been to resurrect her lover, the Dread Queen, who had willingly stepped into death to master the place in-between. Regarding the Dread Queen, Captain Widow is careful, calculated, obsessed and loving. She believes that nothing will stop her nor her lover, and she will sacrifice whoever it takes to see this plan followed through.
