Featherbrook Island is May Ferin's, along with the rest of the Ferins', home island It was first introduced in the oneshot Humble Beginnings as where Jay Ferin lived and worked before joining the Riptide Pirates.
Geography[]
Featherbrook Island is a feather-shaped island. It has a small patch of land acting as the stem, with a much larger curved island known as Quill Kingdom.
Notable Locations[]
Kiwi Village[]
Kiwi Village is a humble, quaint village on the small "stem" island of Featherbrook. It's described as "minimal", with concrete houses with red roof shingles. The east of the village inclines into steep forest cliffs, known as the Bluffs. Due to its location and the reputation of Drey Ferin, it is neutral soil. Though it does not have an official leader, the townsfolk look up to May and will often reach out to her in times of need. Kiwi Village is only connected to the kingdom by a bridge. A dusty trail leads from the docks of the village to the heart of the village where The Den is located.
Ferin's Eagle Den[]
Also known as "The Eagle Den" or simply "The Den" is a tavern in Kiwi Village. Owned by May Ferin, it is shaped as an eagle head. It has stairs leading up to the beak entryway, with the interior in the bulbous head of the bird. The atmosphere is described as warm and rambunctious, often being filled with both pirates and townsfolk. It is filled with the smell of ale, intermingled with "country-style" food such as fried chicken. The sounds are a mix of chatting and a "cacophony" of bird noises as they fly around to each patron before flying to communicate with May. with Jay working as a barmaid and a waitress, as she had done for three years before Chip arrived.
Quill Kingdom[]
Not much is known about the geography of Quill Kingdom. It is located on the larger curved part of the "feather" and is the capital of Featherbrook. Walls surround the kingdom and a portcullis allows gated access from Kiwi Village into the kingdom. It is well protected and guarded by the Navy, and is where Jayson Ferin has a home. The island is owned by the Quill family.
