”From the top rope, my Prince!”

Grefgor is Shilo Bathory's royal guard. He is played by Charlie Slimecicle

Description[]

Appearance[]

Grefgor is a very pale vampire with short, straight, middle parted brown hair. Like most of his fellow kindred, he has pointed ears and red eyes. He wears a black chestplate and matching shoulder pauldrons with a chainmail shirt underneath. He wears a medieval style baggy brown shirt with puffed sleeves that end at the shoulders with off-white cuffs. His thick gloves are the same color, leaving no part of his arms exposed. He wears a floral patterned maroon sash around his waist. His pants are a similar color to his sleeves, and the very top of metal poleyns are visible above his knees. He is initially seen wearing a metal helmet in Umber Castle, which he takes off after arriving in LA.

When Arthur returns from England, Grefgor wears his coat over his armor to look less conspicuous.

Personality[]

Most of Grefgor's time and energy is devoted to loyally keeping the princes safe. He will do anything he is instructed to do by others and rarely acts of his own volition. He believes strongly in the masquerade and other vampire traditions, but often unintentionally breaks these rules. He loves the princes very much and gets a lot of joy out of spending time with them, his aura often showing colors like vermillion and pink around his fellow kindred. He isn't the most intelligent, but he is educated about vampire history and law. He is very hardworking, and when left alone he does find a way to live despite not understanding the ways of the city and losing the main motivation in his life with no warning.

Background[]

Pre Canon[]

Grefgor grew up in a small village. He spent years climbing the ranks of vampire society, eventually becoming a royal guard working directly for the crown in Umber Castle.

During Canon[]

Grefgor was keeping watch outside Shilo's door the day he ran away. Shilo stormed out of his room in a frenzy and told Grefgor to the Darkened Door, or he would scream and claim he had threatened Shilo’s life. He complied, and as they walked down through the castle Shilo rewrote his memories to make him think he had chosen to follow Shilo of his free will. When they reached the door, Luna Lamia explained you needed to think of the location you wanted to go, so Shilo told Grefgor to think of LA and the two stepped through the portal.

They exited the Darkened Door into No Brakes Car Repair where they immediately met Arthur Bennett. By the time Grefgor gave Shilo his name, Arthur had realized they were not who he was looking for. As Arthur walked away, he was ambushed by Emizel and the two began fighting. Grefgor and Shilo sprinted back to No Brakes. Jeffery Tucker heard them from the floor above and came down the stairs. In a panic, Grefgor and Shilo both laid on the ground and pretended to be staked in the heart.

Emizel tried to convince his father that Grefgor and Shilo were foreign exchange students, but instead Arthur restrained Jeffery. Shilo resolved the issue by wiping his memory. Arthur drove them to Club Crepuscule to find other vampires, and Shilo attempted to dominate the club’s bouncers. They called the police and Shilo were arrested. In a holding cell, the two met Soda. He gave them Sprite Cranberry and Grefgor drank some then immediately threw it up. As morning approached, Shilo made Grefgor take off his clothes to cover the windows. Eventually, Deacon Keller arrived and quickly realized Shilo was an important person. He did not want to deal with Grefgor and asked Arthur to "handle" the guard. Arthur refused. Shilo told Deacon if Grefgor was harmed he would speak poorly about the sheriff to the Queen. Deacon agreed to take care of Grefgor, and the guard was led away.

At Elysium, Shilo spotted Grefgor and the two danced together for a crowd. After introductions were made, humans were brought out to drink. Shilo was forced to drink by Edward Twilight, and ran to the bathroom in shame. Grefgor drank before following the prince. Arthur joined them in the bathroom to say the body had been drugged. Grefgor began hallucinating Shilo melting into the floor and chaos began. Arthur tried to lead them out a door, but when he forced it open they were met with a team of Grimslayers. The Grimslayers began their raid and the building was lit ablaze. Grefgor succumbed to the red fear and ran away in a frenzy. Emizel spotted him climbing up towards the broken skylight in the middle of the club and used his willpower to lower Grefgor out of the frenzy. He told the guard to find Shilo and Arthur and make their way towards an exit. Grefgor reunited with Shilo and the two crawled into the sewers through a storm drain. Just as they regrouped with Arthur, a boom was heard and Club Crepuscule exploded.

Arthur found Deacon wounded in an alley, and the encounter escalated into violence. While they fought, Grefgor climbed onto a nearby fire escape. When the situation was resolved Grefgor jumped down on Deacon, cracking his head on the ground and sending him into torpor. Back at the BnB, Shilo sent Grefgor to find another TV, and by the time he got back Shilo had learned of his mother's death. Grefgor comforted him, but was told by Arthur to leave him alone. Coincidentally, Grefgor happened to be leaving at the same time Magnus was staking Emizel in the heart outside. Seeing this, Grefgor attempted to elbow drop Magnus but the Grimslayer staked Grefgor as well. Eventually, they traveled to Obscura Systems Inc and into the lair of The Unseen One. Once Arthur and Emizel opened their eyes Grefgor did as well. Grefgor was left behind when Arthur and Emizel walked away.

When Shilo, Emizel, and Arthur realized Grefgor wasn't with them, Shilo insisted they go back. Emizel volunteered, and after giving up a memory Grefgor and Emizel were once again thrown out the doors of Obscura Systems Inc. Emizel asked Grefgor the best way to move up in vampire society, but didn't like Grefgor's suggestions of getting a job or going to parties, so Grefgor explained diablerie to him. When they woke up the next night, they decided it would be best if Grefgor stayed behind. He was assigned to collect blood, and Grefgor was saddened he wouldn't be able to tag along but agreed.

When Arthur returned to the hotel he found Grefgor stocking the mini fridge with blood. He told Grefgor the twins had both been taken, and Grefgor immediately sprinted off to find them. As Shilo exited the gates of Edward Twilight's mansion, he saw Grefgor sprinting towards him. As soon as he found Shilo, Grefgor sprinted off and somehow found Emizel as well. The three went back to the hotel, but as they debated what to do next, the Pulse of the City took effect. Grefgor was impacted for a short period of time because he hadn't been in LA for very long.

Grefgor was brought to recruit Theo for the master plan, stealing a TV from a Walmart on the way. After picking up Theo they drove to the Weylin Twin's warehouse. Grefgor was assigned to be a driver. As Emizel created a distraction, Grefgor drove up and the wounded people the Weylin’s had been keeping captive were loaded in and they drove back to the city.

At No Brakes, Shilo and Grefgor cleaned up the messy shop. After Shilo accidentally broke Theo's phone, he sent Grefgor off to find him a new one. By the time Grefgor got back things had gone south quickly. Shilo frenzied and killed a human, and Grefgor tried to comfort him. The two went back to the hotel to sleep, but as they arrived Shilo was attacked by the pheasant. The pheasant knocked itself out, and Shilo insisted they turn it into a vampire. Shilo gave all his blood to the pheasant and the prince went into torpor. Grefgor gave him more blood the next night to wake him up and showed him the pheasant, which was in a nearby park terrorizing pedestrians. The two brought the bird back inside and named it Pickles. Around this time, Arthur and Emizel returned. Grefgor carried Emizel on a busboy cart to a motel.

While Shilo, Emizel, and Arthur were in The Midnight Circle, Grefgor spent days looking but couldn’t find them. Eventually, he started dating a human named Hazel. During this time, Grefgor also got a job at Walmart and moved into a flat with Hazel, working night shifts and lying to her about the blood he was drinking. When the trio returned from The Midnight Circle, Grefgor ran into them in the park. He introduced them to Hazel and took the group back to their flat where Grefgor and Hazel had been taking care of Pickles. Shilo lectured Grefgor about having relationships with mortals and used thaumaturgy to check if Grefgor had been blood bonded in any way, which he hadn't. Shilo also noticed Grefgor was fidgeting with something in his pocket, presumably a wedding ring. Shilo, Arthur, and Emizel brought Grefgor with them and set off to find somewhere for them to stay the night, leaving Hazel in the flat.

At the influencer house they stayed at, Grefgor was told to deal with contractors approaching Shilo and Emizel about content creation.

His location during the finale is unknown.

Trivia[]
