Appearance[]
Kian has wavy platinum blonde shoulder-length hair and turquoise eyes. His features are very soft, defined, and youthful to the point where Kian often claims to still be in his 20's. On each hand he has two rose tattoos and on his chest there is a butterfly tattoo with two snakes that he got when 17. He has several piercings, most notably a dangling red feather earring and a twisted rose metal ear cuff. Kian always has his guitar with him.
When introduced in California, Kian is shirtless, opting to wear a scarf and puffy fur coat instead. He wears black leather pants with an ostentatious belt buckle. This outfit is accessorized with a cowboy hat and pair of sunglasses. His boots are very sparkly and have high heels.
In Galloway Kian wears red eyeliner. His vest is red and black striped with a sparkly snake scale pattern. Atop that he wears a white and black leopard patterned kimono and he has black patterned bell bottom pants. His shoes are black wrap shoes.
Personality[]
Kian is a hopeless romantic, chasing the feeling of being cared for more than his own safety. He is quite intelligent, although that often gets in the way of seeing all the weird things happening. Kian is very flamboyant and charming, presenting himself as larger than life. His go-to when attempting to get something out of people is either to flirt non-stop or pay them off.
In private, his life was very lonely and depressing and he uses his attitude to cope and cover it up. Oftentimes Kian puts the safety of others above himself.
Background/History[]
Kian chose his own last name. His parents didn't really interact with him much and let him discover himself. It is implied that he grew up somewhere else before moving to Galloway. Many people view him as rather cool, at least in Galloway where he was the town rock star. As a teenager he stole many things with Rolan and Rand, the three of them frequently hiding from the cops.
Kian left Galloway and worked at a bar where bands often performed called Morello's Music Bar. For a period he was the lead singer and guitarist of his band the Lolling Stones, but his name in the scene was ruined when he bailed before the chance for their big break. After that Kian was mentored and became a stock broker, although he was very depressed and started going to therapy. He hasn't really kept contact with his parents after he left, just knowing that they're in a commune somewhere and probably members of a cult.
Relationships[]
Rolan Deep[]
Kian cares a lot about Rolan and frequently tries to get him into therapy to process his trauma. In episode 4 Kian admits that he has a crush on Rolan.
Rand[]
Kian and Rand have been friends for a long time, in fact Kian was the one who got Rand into weed. Even though he cares a lot about Rand, though, he will not stop chasing after his mom. Kian does do his best to motivate Rand to face his problems and does call to check up on him when possible.
Donna Rand[]
Kian tries his best to woo Donna, and has been ever since high school. He tries his best to impress her and really wants Donna to divorce John. Some of his flirting is to help Rand by distracting his parents, but some of it is also genuine.
