Summary[]
A mysterious woman threatens Jay on the knowledge that she's a Ferin, and shouldn't be on outlaw soil. Jay convinces her to leave without killing her. The party enters the Paramount Tournament and begin to play Jack the Jolly Roger.
Episode Events[]
The session picks back up as a mysterious woman holds a gun to Jay’s head. She demands to know what a navy person is doing at the island, but Jay tells her that she’s a pirate. The woman retorts that no one could forget the face of a Ferin, and Ferin’s Navy. Jay says that she has a crew and a ship right next door, but it’s not enough to convince the woman. She then says she’s entering the tournament tomorrow. So the woman had better kill her now if she wants a chance. The woman pulls the gun away, telling her to leave tomorrow if she wants to live. Jay turns, but she’s gone.
Gillion enters the Sprawled Inn, and sits at the bar to order water. He meets a blue skinned man, who introduces himself as Caspian, and appears to be similarly wet. He becomes enamored since this is another wet man and they perform a splashy. Caspian then takes his leave to return to his lady.
Chip wins the bar fight and takes everyones pants. Jay tells them what happened while they get rooms for the night. They also manage to get the receptionists pants from him. Gil offers to guard Jay for the night. Chip dresses Jay up as an old woman for a disguise to keep her safe and also because its funny. Jay looks like her grandmother which confuses Gil. He puts the pants in the briefcase of holding. Chip looks at what he pickpocketed from the Baron, which is a magic coin.
Gil does end up guarding Jay, with Pretzel, taking watches for the night.
They learn that they can only enter in teams of three, so Chip accepts being Chibo and joins with them. Gil and Jay do warmups. They enter the arena. The Baron announces the prize, a black pearl. Gil recognizes it’s from the undersea, but not what it is. The Baron announces the game: Jack The Jolly Roger. Everyone has a flag; you want to protect your flag and get other people’s flags. Gillion freezes a wall of ice around his flag. Marshall John, who is on a different team, takes a flag and scores a point.
