The B.L.O.C.K is a massive structure of shimmering red obsidian brick, shifting and moving every few moments from a rhombus shape to a square shape with different sections rotating like a rubik's cube. One long stone dock leads towards an entrance that does not shift. It is its own island, with ground made of the same glittering red material.

The entrance is a rectangular opening that is extremely dark from even shorter distances. The interior of the B.L.O.C.K. begins with a narrow hallway made of the same glittering red bricks of the outer structure with a dark entryway at the end. Past this other entryway is four different paths in four directions that constantly change form and go left, right, up, or down. The floors, walls and ceilings are entirely the same red brick with no windows. The consistent material makes the halls completely indistinguishable to each other.

Some directions lead to steep declines that go to lower levels of the buildings, these declines have no stairs but those walking down them rely on the walls for balance. Past many of the void entryways are rooms of various dangers and environments. It can be assumed that there is no specific path or order to the rooms, as the structure is constantly shifting, as well as the paths within it.

The shifting of the building and its interior occurs in intervals, however, no discernable pattern to the shifts can be observed. Additionally, the movement of the structure is strong enough to move an Immovable Rod, suggesting either magical interference with items or strength greater than a DC 30 check or 8,000 pounds of weight.

Rooms[]

The first room visited by Chip, Jay, and Gillion is a swampy room filled with murky, muddy water covered in slimy algae. Purple mist faintly flows through the room and swamp trees curl up from the water. In this room lives a bulky, monstrous limbed ogre with spikes running down its spine. The monster has a head similar to a toad, and can produce a croak like one. This monster is a purple and red Hezrou. The swamp room can be exited through a black door directly across from its entrance.

History[]

According to the memory of Jay Ferin, it was discovered by the Navy ten years ago but only put into action five years ago. People deemed traitors or top criminals by the Navy are brought to this prison and supposedly disappear entirely when they enter. It is also thought to be a place of executions for top-ranking criminals.

During his visit to the B.L.O.C.K. in Episode 50: The Block, Chip used a candle to smear wax onto the floor of some of the halls as a way to mark previously explored areas.

Trivia[]

  • It is unknown what the B.L.O.C.K stands for, but it is supposedly an acronym.
