Troy is a human fighter man with a massive ego and an important father. He is played by Slimecicle, aka Charlie.

Description

Appearance

Troy, real name Tramilton, is a young man with shaggy blond hair, yellow-green eyes, and sun-tanned skin. He wears a red leather jumpsuit with fire decals going up the arms and legs. Across the jumpsuit are an assortment of sponsor patches. His spiked racing helmet and goggles match his racing suit with continued fire decals and red lenses, completing his steamsledding outfit.

Personality

Troy is self-centered and overly confident, frequently boasting his wealth, his father's position, and his own skill. Troy repeatedly gets himself into danger with risky manuevers and humiliates himself with bad taunts and embarassing mistakes. Unwilling to admit defeat, Troy frequently denies any failures and shifts blame onto other people, accusing them of cheating or taking poor action.

Troy values the importance and status of being a leader, frequently expressing his decisions or apologizing for his actions on behalf of being the supposed 'team captain' of Blink and Runt. He feels responsible for the health of the group and expresses a level of care contradictory to his usual selfish nature. Similarly oxymoronic, Troy finds himself responsible for what happens to the group while still managing to be ignorant of the harm of some of his actions.

Background/History

Prior to the Events of Wonderlust

Troy's father is Mr. Lougferd, a prestigious inventor who created a major part of Wonder's infrastructure: The Clockwork Soldiers. Because of this, the Lougferd name is important, and Troy frequently touts it. Troy is a freshman at the College of Dreamers and Doers, but it is unclear what he's studying or how he got in. Troy is an active steamsledder for Cloudspire and has competed in many competitions, though a specific number and his actual success in these competitions are unclear.

During the Events of Wonderlust

In Episode 1: One Man's Trash, after losing to the Greasemonkeys in the Steamsledding Semifinals and being barred entry to the Screwdrivers' winners lounge, Troy trailed fellow steamsledder May to the trash disposal pit near Docktown. He fell inside and was kidnapped by Onyx and Aeon(?). His kidnappers ordered that he follow Blink, supplying only his appearance and no further explanation beyond the promise that if he stuck with Blink, he would be able to get back to the surface from Reclaim. Troy was then released into the Sorting District where he found and chased Blink.

Relationships

Lint

Lint and Troy are friends, but their dynamic is more similar to a follower and his idol. Lint listens to whatever Troy tells him, even if it's false or requires him to change himself. Troy seems eager to take advantage of this connection, essentially using Lint as a hypeman to console himself in the face of defeat or ignore the reality of his loss.

Runt

Troy and Blink originally met Runt after the girl followed them through the Sorting District into the Hornet's Hive in Episode 2: The Alcholosseum. The two have a sibling dynamic, and Runt, although frustrated by Troy's stupidity, gets along well with him and even imitates some of his mannerisms.

Notable Items

Steamsled

A prized possession of Troy, his steamsled acts as a vehicle and a weapon. During his adventures in Reclaim, Troy has repeatedly used his steamsled to hit things or manuever down slopes. In Episode 3: Into the Workshop, Troy observes a crack along the metal likely caused by the various batterings the sled has received. Troy is familiar with the workings of the steamsled, something other steamsledders may not be, and even knows where the Wondrous Coal that powers it is stored.

Trivia

  • While playing Troy, Slimecicle has repeatedly described how he feels like he loses all connection to what he's saying, essentially becoming possessed by the idiotic spirit of his character.
